Looking for Crappie. Shore bound

Anyone care to share any locations to try catching a few Crappie from shore. Haven't had any for a long time. No boat and admitted site lurker. Thanks in advance.

What part of Virginia are you in?

Oh ya.... forgot that. Glen Allen / Ashland. Close to 95. Did go to Walker dam on the Chick. Fished off the end of the old barge. Nothing. Did see two boats, but did not see them catch anything either.

Plan to revisit the barge @ Rockahock occasionally for the next two months. There will be huge fluctuations in the bite from one week to the next. Woody or someone else who fishes there often can advise which tide is best.

Ditto on the barge. The fish are there. Bounce a jog off the bottom. Last 2 hrs of outgoing tide some say. I personally prefer early morning and evening for the spectacular sunrises and sunsets.
