The picture is deceiving. If you close the mouth it puts it right at 15.75".
Any yes, the magnets are all black crappie which is probably pretty accurate as the only body of water I fish that has white crappie is Buggs with 7 of my citations coming from that reservoir, maybe one or two of them were a white crappie.
