I went to the river from 12:30 to 3:30 yesterday fishing for smallies, redbreast, and redeye. I was trying out something new to me (Cajun critter from bass pro pumpkin/orange double tail). It worked really well... I tossed it on a 1/16 oz pink jighead on 4lb line with a light action rod. I had a lot of fun... I usually throw Kalins grubs (John Deere green or some craw pattern) but the Cajun critter out produced it... I didn't catch any big smallies (biggest 14") but caught a lot of nice redeyes and redbreast... Ended the day with the clicker saying 92 fish for the day so not a bad 3 hrs... If you haven't tried those critters in the river they work pretty good
