All - at the Western Branch Reservoir boat ramp, the City of Norfolk has installed a boat wash to help prevent aquatic hitchhikers from getting into the reservoir. Aquatic hitchhikers are plants and animals from other bodies of water that can harm our reservoirs.

Please take a moment before launching to make sure you don't have any plants or animals on your trailer, boat, motor, prop, and in your live-well. A hose is available for your use while the boat ramp is open. Also, don't discard unused bait fish into the reservoir.
