Yes, Adams stocks minnows year-round. Also, if you live in the Richmond area, Pope's (Sandston) stocks them year-round BUT their winter schedule is not always convenient. Call ahead and ask.

I am going to hit Rockahock Sunday with the wife if everything goes right. Hopefully its not too crowded. Does Adams still have minnows?
I have had luck here in the past. I am thinking about using a dropshot and live minnows around the dam then working some of the docks down river with a slip bobber and jigs/minnows. If this fails... do you guys also catch them down river on docks? It seems like its either feast or famine for me there. I need to learn some more techniques outside of the two obvious spots. Anyone troll?
Thanks for any intel.

Use your depth finder to locate schools of fish. I would look in the deep water between the dam and Graves Landing. Place you bait at the top of the school or thru the middle of the school. I normally troll 6 rods spider rigging and 2 rods long lining behind the boat. Speed and depth of bait is very critical this time of year. Slow and deep. The fish this time of year on most days won't chase your bait very far. Out going tide can be the best.

Its the first sharp left hand turn down river about 2 miles maybe less. The first pier on the right down river on the right.
If you can make your trip one day earlier I'm putting on a bash out of rockahock. Come and meet some of the good people on this site. Good opportunity to get some tips.
