Nice going, good mess for dinner. How come those specks don't have any color or specks?

ive had that happen before on really hot days- cant keep em alive in the live well so by the time i get home they seem to of lost their luster- if i think ahead on a day as hot as yesterday i just take a cooler of ice to throw my keepers in.... dont seem to hurt the flavor....

Can you put a timer on your live well? It has always worked for me to keep them alive in hot weather.

what does the timer control? plus my boat didnt have a factory live well so i use a Keepalive 30 gal bait tank for a live well- it works good untill temps get up in the mid 90's- i throw ice in it during the day on hot days that seems to help but if its really hot by late afternoon they start rolling up.........

OK. If you don't have a live well with a pump feeding it a timer won't help. How do you fill that 30 gal tank?

If it has an overflow on it you could put something like this on it Amazon.com: Rig Rite Manufacturing 510 Marine Variable Livewell Timer: Automotive . That way it keep putting fresh water in and keeps the fish alive.
