Default Winter is over.....now the real trouble begins.

Frigid waters all over Virginia. Everyone but Fishdoc has cabin fever. We will see a swing to some really warm day. Unseasonably warm. Our brains will be thinking April. The lake surface temps will be looking like late March. The water temp where the fish actually are will still be winter. We will be burning vacation day because it is 70° outside. Chasing fish, that can move up from 15' of water to 6" of water to sun themselves and be back in 15' before we can get the boat to them. Cussing and swearing that there is just no rhyme nor reason to why we can't find and stay on the fish.

    Here comes summer.

You hit the nail on thr head with this post. Trying to find them over the next several weeks is what makes this time period my favorite. Hope you are right about winter being over as well. Really starting to feel that fishing fever coming on.

I wont have to worry about that. Looks like by the time I get the USS Never Float in the water, it will be summer or coming on Fall.CF

He hasn't been out all winter and is too tied up with his girlfriend right now to go. He needs to spend a day of maintenance on his boat now before he goes back out. I'm not doing it for him. I have enough of my own.CF
