    Default Suffolk lake

Tried my luck at BM Sunday my 2nd trip this year, both times only got one keeper.
There were a lot of folks there, after I parked there were only one spot open, the dirt parking was nearly full also.
Water temp stayed at 40 the entire time, I was marking fish deep as 30 FOW but very few takers. I was using minnows and jigs, the only keeper was on Jigs, it measured right at 10".
    (Off subject)
Also I noticed what looked like a water mark on my trailer tire, when I got closer, the tread was warn down pretty badly, I checked the other tire and I could see some of the liner!
This isn't something I normally check so I was really surprised to see that much wear the trailer is 3 years old, but I made it back safely and will purchase new tires before I go out again, It's worth mentioning in case other were not active checking trailer tires.

There was a tournament Sunday. Saw a young man that had a biggun, looked to be over 9lbs. I fished also for 2 hours, zeroed.

we waited for it to hit 40, I like the water cold. Every fish we caught yesterday was gorging on bait.

Size: 49.5 KBThanks for the report. Those deep water fish are tricky. Stay at it and figure it out. That's the fun part. You know where they are at. I like fishing deep this year. Too many fronts and that bite seems the most consistent. Plus in that lake they can't go deeper!

    Get them next time!

Bent axle might be causing uneven tire wear.

We worked hard to catch 8 Sunday afternoon. We had at least thirty nibbles that either did not come tight or the fish came off on the way up. Never had such a bad catch ratio fishing for crappie. Fished with both bare jigs and jig/minnow combos. I think the fish were grabbing the tail of the baits and not eating. Orange was the hot color.
