Tim and I hit the NW River for a couple hours Saturday afternoon, then yesterday morning until about 1300. We caught plenty of fish both days in water from 6-10 ft. We got some yesterday out to about 12 ft. The fish really preferred minnows Saturday. I probably only had about 6 hits on the jig that day. They were hitting the jig better yesterday, but I had trouble hooking them. We kept 8 Saturday for a fresh-fish dinner at my house that night. Tim kept about 15 yesterday for his house. We didn't catch anything photo worthy, but had some crappie right about 1 lb. and had a few perch that were approaching 12". Other fish included green carp, pickerel and flier. Several times we caught YP that spit up very small bluegill. Some of the female YP were pretty fat and ready to spawn.
