WELLS,THEY MIGHT LIKE MINNOWS BEST BUT TOO MANY WAYS TO FISH A JIG TO KNOW FOR SURE,I USUALLY BEAT MOST ALL THAT FISH WITH ME BUT ONE OF MY FRIENDS IS BEATING ME MOST OF THE TIME LATELY BUT I HAVE GOT CLOSE TO HIS STYLE OF FISHING IN THIS COLD WATER,BEFORE IT GOT THIS COLD 2 MONTHS AGO I WAS BEATING HIM ALSO,HE IS HUMBLING ME ,ALSO ROY DID IT A COUPLE OF TIMES ALSO AND I HAD TO ADAPT TO HIS STYLE,AS SAID BEFORE SO MANY WAYS TO FISH A JIG AND WHEN U THINK U HAVE THEM ALL JUST CARRY A FRIEND WITH U AND ONCE IN A WHILE HE WILL HUMBLE U
Today, blue and pearl BBGS was the producer. Caught 15 this afternoon in deep water near bottom.
Most have already covered it, but John Deere (green) and Blue/silver seem to work for me.
Fishdoc and GeneC are right, when I'm fishing I keep lots of rods in the boat but here's the kicker all are white or green. But the biggest difference is I keep 1/32, 1/24, 1/16, 3/32, & 1/8 oz Jigheads on different rods. Sometimes watching the line as a 1/32 falls will get a bite , sometimes counting down a 1/16 then swiming it slow and steady works.
