old bait name
Found one of my old curly tail plastics today, looking in an old box. Really liked them, but haven't seen any in a while.
They were moulded with a hole in the front end, for a weighted hook, and the hook eye was forced up thru the bait to hold it on the hook. They were real supple and had good action at slow speed. Does anyone know the name or if they are still made. Sorry don't do PICS.

Bass Pro Shops made a paddletail body with a jighead cavity, but there was no need to punch the eye through plastic because the jighead dropped into the cavity (stretching the opening) from above. Either BPS or Cabelas had a house-brand twister tail with a similar cavity about 20 years ago. I haven't seen them since. If you are looking for a twister-tail with a molded-in jighead, google Storm Wildeye Curly Tail minnow. (I haven't used one.)
