    Default Bow Fishfinder recommendations

Looking for recommendations for bow mount fishfinder. Need about 5" display for the old eyes. Like color display. Not going to lay out the money for side imaging unit. Want to identify what is under the boat. What would some suggestions be. Was kind of looking at the Garmin 55O c. Thanks in advance.

Get the Down View or you will kick yourself. Down scan / Down View / Down imaging make a real difference. If you really want help to know what stuff is, it helps. I will find two pics to show the difference when I get a minute.

Here you go. The detail is worth the $. With the Down View, you can see the white dots between the branches when fish are there.

I agree with Dayton (this time). I really like the down imaging. I just put a HDS 7 on the bow of mine but haven't learned anything about it yet. I use to have an Elite 5 DSI which was a really great little unit. Its been many years since I had a Garmin but I read good things about them.

It depends on your budget. DI on the front is nice if you can afford it. If not that Garmin is a really nice 2d color unit for the money. Check with Brian at BBG marine before purchasing.
