Default Last Friday at Buggs with Fishdoc

Have been traveling and the other post spurred me to report. I fished last friday (week ago) with Keith. Lots of fun and continued to learn. It does seem like the fall pattern out on the main lake is on queue. Picked up probably 45-50 crappie with many that were over a pound. Also had several perch, with one nearly 12 inches and over a pound. We found some perch and stripers breaking under birds on some humps picking on rain bait, and picked up a few of them. Keith caught up a 4-5 lb drum and I had a LG mouth that was what Keith, about 4.5 or 5? Anyway, I only put about 18 or 19 of the crappie in the boat, but I think he started dipping my jig in gasoline later in the trip when I wasn't looking. Just about all of the fish were caught vertical jigging on his white bucktail.

Jim, we still doin best out on the main lake. this has been a very unusual yr. The COE has kept the water level nearly full pool all yr an the water temp never got as warm as usual. this seems to have changed the ordinary habits of the fish. but they should be movin to the creeks very soon. One of my buddies did well in Panhandle last wk but others report poor results in most other creeks.

Mike, the usual Fall patterns have not applied this yr. the fish have stayed on the main lake but as you can see by posted reports, the fishin has been better than usual. I expect the crappie to be movin back into the creeks soon, I'll keep y'all posted!
