Some of you may be aware that Jack Trammel is a candidate for Congress in the 7th District oif Virginia, which includes much of Henrico and New Kent Counties.

What you may not know is that Jack spent 3 years on the Chickahominy fishing (mostly for ring perch) and interviewing long time residents about their recollections of life on the Chick in days past.

Jack then recorded much historical research and the result of his interviews in the book "Down on the Chickhominy".

Might I recommend that anyone interested in the history of this wonderful Virginia river pick up a copy, easily obtained on Amazon by searching the title.

Might I also suggest that this is an opportunity for residents along the river to cast a vote for someone to represent them in Congress who cherishes the Chick and its people as much as we do.
