Default Slow Bite on the NW river.

Well Scott and I hit the water around 9:30. Scott hit the first one I followed with a nice bull gill. Mixed bag today, some gills, yellow perch and I thought a white perch but now I think it was a flyer. Oh yes and the ever present morons in ski boats, jet skis. Still a good day on the water with my buddy.

Sounds like a typical NW river day. I cannot seem to find them in the summer and when I catch a few they are little.

I fished there Saturday. I was on the trolling motor working the shore and this red and white pleasure boat pulling a tuber made the turn ahead of me. The driver (not the observers) was facing the stern of his boat and not even looking ahead. He came directly at me and it may have been my whistling or screaming that finally got his attention. I was about ready to jump into the river when he finally swerved to the middle of the river. Scared the crap out of me.

Glad to hear you got on some fish. What size where the YP you were catching? I normally only get small ones in the summer down there.
