well fellows aint posted in a while cause aint had nothing to post! been on lake 2-3 times a week but to no avail- found some new brush piles but cant catch any keepers- best day managed 1/2 dozen- getting dinks & lots of little white perch- fishing brushpiles in 15-25 fow & been wearing out all 3 bridges on every trip but no luck- guess that's why its called going fishing - 1 thing been driving me crazy- had several brushpiles that ive got marked & fished before but cant find? gps says im all over em but I circle & circle & cant find em to throw the buoy out- frustrating as heck! just gota keep trying I guess-
My wife swears I only do enough surveying to support my hunting & fishing because I'm too busy hunting & fishing !

Same thing happens to me I think the GPS drift off sometimes so I started doing it the old way lining up marks on shore and find some, not all. I do know where they should be cus I sunk em'.

yea guys ive wonder bout both possibilities- ive had several handheld gps units for bunch years- most of them give you an epe (estimated position error) & I know some days its as little as 3-7 feet but some days it 40-50 feet ( on some of the older units it was 100-150') wondered if that was part of problem - never found where my lowrance gives you that if it does- so don't know- and as to hooking & dragging em around if its intentional that outa be an a...... whooping offense !!!

a lot of the ol timers at Buggs always anchor rite on top of the piles an fish minnows strait down on a split shot rig. most any wind will drift ya anchor into the pile, then they pull it off tryin to untangle it. I've found some of mine alway up on the bank where they would pull it to get their anchor back. can't fix stupid...
