We headed out early today, so we could back for easter dinner. We were not really intending to fish at Meade, but made a go of it because we were already there.
Jigged the the bridge by the dam, no nibbles. Motored down to the first big stump field.... And it was game on. 1/32 and a blue ice Calins is what they wanted. We kept 18 for a fish fry and tossed back probably another dozen, plus a big bass and pike on the cane pole.
water temps were 60/61, 2-3' vis, pretty clear IMO, I only marked fish in 14-16 FOW. Wind was a butt kicker, I gave up holding with the electric and anchored, I was still walking my 28 pound anchors until they really dug in. I know it was 30mph plus.
Back on the trailer at 1230. Another trip, no minnows harmed.

Wow what a nice stringer. I have not been on Mead in probably seven years. Side kick and I are getting a 9.9 boat /motor together to fish the lakes again. I will have to learn them all over again.
