    Default thats a long day


    got up @ 4:00 - got on turkey @ 10:00- smacked him @ 11:20- put turkey breast in fridg, hooked up boat - on water @ 3:00- got 6 keepers - probably had 4 dinks for every keeper- put in @ longwood water varied from muddy to stained & 61-69 deg- couldn't keep the little one off the hook- all fish in 2-4 fow- caught fish on 6 different color jigs (was trying everything!) its 11:30 & I got fish to clean & turkey breast to fillet- aint life grand!

    at my age got a few like that but darn they get harder every year !!
    My wife swears I only do enough surveying to support my hunting & fishing because I'm too busy hunting & fishing !

    Yep that will wear you out, but what fun I bet you had. That is a nice bird you shot. Like the fish too.

    should'a got back on the water sunday but that 22 hour sat done me in ! After this cold front moves through be back to trying to figure out what the crappies are doing

    I have seen a cold front like this bunch the fish up before. hopefully we can find where they are bunched up now! they are makin power 20 hrs a day so maybe the lake won't rise a lot with this new rain.

    I didn't check the lake level sat but id bet it was at least 301- plenty water- seems like I find most my crappies when its about 300- been researching old post here & on Kerr/bugs messg. board (& every where else I could find) & I got the terminology for trolling figured out ( long line-flat line-spider rig etc.) now gota figure out the techniques & timing- good Lord willing & creeks don't rise ( & some work comes in the door) im gona try to set up a trip with you Doc some time in June
