    Decided to walleye fish tonight instead of going after crappie... Fished around 3 hrs and this is what I got for my hard work... Lol... All fish were right at the 20" mark and all males

    Man! Those are on my bucket list. Good job. I still havent caught one. Never fish for em but Ive heard they are rarily caught in the James.

    We catch hundreds from Philpott Lake just north of Martinsville VA every summer. Check out my Guides Listing pics at the top of this page.

    I keep telling myself I am going to make it out that way but never do. I need to just do it. It is only 20 more miles than Moomaw and I do that at least once a year. Still haulin the boat 200 miles one way is never fun. Not to mention I actually have to cross over buggs island on 58 to get there. Kinda hard to pass that water and not stop to fish! What months are usually best?
