Default New Terrova any recomendations on setup

Need some help! I am getting a new terrova soon and wanted to get recommendations on installing it and how to put a lowrance transducer on it. I know many of you guys have them and wanted to get some feedback on how to install is etc.

If your boat is not already drilled with the right hole pattern for the 4 mounting screws, have someone help you support the motor in the "down" position. That will confirm that the shaft will clear the bow of the boat. Then, put the motor in the "stowed" position to be sure the lower unit clears your trailer and the control head clears any forward-mounted rod holders.

As far as I know, Lowrance owners cannot run the transducer cable down the track in the shaft...but maybe someone has found a way around this dimension problem.

you want to get the minn kota mount that will let the trolling motor slide back about 6 inches to stow it so it is out of the way went you are trailering, putting your cover on for storage. It also let your take it completely off if you need to. As Corker said I don't know if you will like you lowrance on the troller as the cable wont go down the groove in the shaft and you cant tape it to it or anything like that. Get the ipilot link and a new 998 or 958 and then you can troll with it using follow the contour on the lake that have HD mapping

I had the Lowrance Elite 5 on mine and the cable fit in the groove just fine.

I had a Lowrance X510c unit and the cable was too big to fit in the groove so I bought a Humminbird unit as I was not happy with how I had to run the Lowrance cable. Cross your fingers and maybe your cable will fit in the groove.

It's fine. Lowrance vs Humminbird is like Ford vs Chevy. Both make quality products. My only complaint with the Lowrance unit was the transducer cable size.
