    Default Pembroke today

Caught 35 crappie, 1 yellow perch and 1 bass. Spiderrigging. Got to meet BHGammon today in person. He is a nice gentleman and I enjoyed talking to him today. Fished from 12 till just before dark. Would have caught more if it had not taken 2 hours to find the fish. After that, it was on. Had a great time. Nice to finally meet you in person Bruce and thanks for the little tool you gave me. It will come in handy.CF

Sounds good to me. Nothing wrong with 35 fish. Congrats.

It was great to meet you too. I hit 3 in-a-row out from the boardwalk and stuck with that area. Took home a limit out of the 30 to 40 I caught.

Turned out to be a perfect day in every way. I hung around the ramp for awhile hoping to see how well you did, but I wanted to get off the road before dark.

    Your PM box is full.

    Bruce,

I just missed you at the ramp. I saw you heading out as I was coming up the canal. I worked a 100 yard stretch I found further up the creek that was producing. Blue ice BGBS and my purple and green shad stingers were the colors that worked best. Pink and white and key lime pie also produced.CF

Mr Pierce was killing them in the same area with minnows, but he and I were culling the smaller fish. I think jigging was producing bigger fish, I had minnows but never used them; too much fuss when your catching all you want on jigs. He had 16 poles out, to my 3. Glad you got into them good too. Couldn't have been a better day. B-

Saw your 223 post. Great catch, you worked for them. Bet they wore you out, and you slept good that night. B-

I use to love to go by the pig pen. The aroma made me homesick for the times I was young. I think they had removed all the pigs the last time I was down there. It was to the left when you came out of the ditch.

Glad there were some crappie left in Pembroke after Saturday. I put my boat in there to go rock fishing and rode up the creek just to see what was going on and I saw 6 boats crappie fishing between the queen st bridge and the hwy 17 bridge. A lot of pressure on that little creek.

    CF,
Glad you got to go catch a nice mess of fish. My buddy called me Saturday to let me know the guys he works with have been doing pretty good. Of course, I was at the ball park again. He told me he thought they were fishing Pembroke. That being said, Baseball is over and now I can fish again. Hope to go fish Bennets Creek next weekend. They ought to be pretty thick up there bout now. How deep a water were the fish in and how deep down you catching um? I saw a few boats in Hertford, but have yet to talk to anybody to try to get a report. Seems like when I head to town I just miss em. -TootsieRoll
