Default Suffolk-42 crappie and finally one over a pound.

I hit the same spot that produced good numbers for me last week (82 but no big ones) and had 40 in just over 3 hours but the biggest was only 11" (with most between 9"-10") so I left and went and tried a bunch of other spots promising myself I would not return. Well, I managed to net a whole 2 crappie but at least one of them was 13" and 1lb 3oz.

It was caught 10' down with a chartreuse/pearl wasshoppah. Early on most were caught with a blue ice BGBS in deeper water and 16' down. I guess I'm just going to have to wait for the water temp to drop some more and hope the bigger ones start feeding. Last week water temp was 62-64 and today it was 58.

Good to hear man. That spot you put me on produced for me last week when I went there. Hopefully it stays that way.

Sounds like a good day. Got to put the time in to find the better fish. I noticed the crappie nibbles in the picture. Do they really work? Never tried them before.

I think they do. I have noticed that the bite slows significantly when they dissolve or fall off my hook.
