A couple of days late, but took my first trip to Buggs and fished with Keith. Totally worth it and I learned a ton. I'm still very new to this, but ended up doing pretty well. We were met with very light rain and no wind. The fishing was tough early, but picked up as the day went on and we moved around. I'm guessing that the 3 of us ended with 75-80 crappie, 3 bass with 1 decent one, 2 yellow perch (1 very close to citation), 2 stripers, couple of white perch and presumably a big cat that broke me off. Most crappie were between 9-10" with a lot of fat 9.5"ers. Kept 15 between 10-13.5" and kept the big yellow perch. All else went back. Fish caught in 12-23' FOW over brush on the main lake. All caught on doc's bucktails or BGBS (most on blue ice). Most fish caught vertical jigging and most caught were deep, and then we picked them up casting later in the day. Even picked up several shooting docks during Keith's instruction of that technique. Thanks again fishdoc and let me know if I missed anything. Sorry for the lack of pics...the very light rain kept my phone in my pocket.

Yes, I do! I've fished a lot of places around here for a lot of different species for a lot of yrs. I catch walleye, LMB, SMB an brim pretty good from Philpott lake. I do well on crappie an stripers at SML. At Buggs, I do very well on crappie, LMB, stripers, whitebass, white perch and all the different kinds of cats. I take a lot of them boys money in bass contests at RCL an Mayo most yrs. Its a hard job, but someone's gotta do it!!!
