I had to register seeing these photos a my favorite species are walleye and crappie being a MN native. Those are my favorite as they are the best eating. All I can say is wow, those would be very nice walleyes for MN. Never thought VA would have walleyes like those. I guess I should've brought my boat with me from MN. =) congrats. Tim

Thank you Bill, is there good places to fish crappie and walleye from shore? Typically I fish crappie in the winter ice fishing and walleye in the summer in MN. Never tried fishing the underwater brush piles in the summer for crappie but would think that's where they still would be. I appreciate the information. Tim

I'm not familiar with your neck of the woods but hopefully someone is.

where's Manassas? I guide on Philpott for walleye, its just north of Martinsville VA. I guide for crappie on Buggs, on the NC/VA state line.

Awesome! Do you have a website for booking and rates? When is the best time of the year for walleye? I am very interested in a guided trip. You can also PM me details so I don't hijack the thread. Manassas is 30miles SW of DC. it is only like 5 hours to Martinsville. I bought my toyhauler in Danville, so that area isn't completely foreign. Also let me know if I need to bring gear other than fishing license. Thank you. Tim

My info is on the VA Guides listing at the top of this forum page. I do best in the June -Aug period. they go really deep in Sept an are harder to contact. I furnish all bait and tackle. The crappie fishin at Buggs really takes off in Oct! Please feel free to call with any other questions, 336-589-9025
