WTG George, they look great, did all that rain change water color and height?

After a long dry spell I finally had a decent day.
(And yes, I measured with the mouth closed and tail pinched.)
My last 6 fishing trips netted 254 crappie but only two of them were at 1lb and they were exactly 1lb. The larger crappie had been doing a good job of hiding from me. Well, that all changed today. While I only caught 22 crappie I had 7 of them between 1lb 4oz and 1lb 11oz with one other at 1lb 2oz. As the title states, my three biggest were all over 14" and once again, I got one that was 15" on the nose. My freezer was completely void of fillets but that will change after I clean the 4 I brought home.
I was in Suffolk and caught them all 13' down. I got one of the big ones with Kalins Money jig but when the sun came out I mostly threw a pearl BGBS which is what I caught most of the crappie on. I only got one vertical jigging so as the day wore on I put all my poles away except the one I was casting.
I didn't even manage my tenth crappie until 3:00. The real fun was between 6:03 and 6:32 when I caught 5 of the big ones. (I am a stat freak and text my wife every time I catch a crappie over 1lb and for every 10 crappie caught)
Off to fillet the crappie.

Good job brother!
I only fish on days that end in "Y" - (Retired Navy)
Good job
Nice catch, which lake were you on? I went to Meade from 4pm till 8pm today and only caught two. One was 1.5lbs, about 14" I'm guessing, weighed it and put it back.
Way to go. I'm gonna' give it a try tomorrow.
