fishing after a storm

well guys... its been awhile! its been almost a month since i have been fishing and i aim to change that tomorrow... wedding is over... we are all moved into our apartment... and the water is calling my name!

my question is this... after a big storm like the tropical storm today, what do you think the fish will be doing tomorrow? (and i dont mean just swimming in the water)

I'm going to find out, going to go fishing through the night for catfish and crappie. Hopefully I'll make some good catches!

You have a beautiful bride with a great name, nice catch! I learned the hard way not to fish the North Landing River after a hurricane as the water was high and moving out fast. I was in Charlottesville today so I'm not sure how much rain we got locally. I have had some good days with storm in the area and high winds, I really don't change the way I fish, I keep looking for them and hopefully eventually find them.

Congrats, but I can't help thinking that girl must have lost a bet with God! As far as fishing tomorrow there's been less than 1" of rain so far in Norfolk, but over 3'' out toward Suffolk and it looks like they're getting a bunch more right now so you might think about staying close to the coast. Tap got the right idea just look till you find them.

Congrats! Remember crappie don't like to swim in current yet are ambush feeders, this applies to rivers and lakes... Bridges can be hot. Cast to eddies or slack water and let sink on an open bail. Don't dismiss it if there's trash or foam floating this pattern works. I've had to drop anchor and tie off and watched telephone poles float by while catching a cooler of 12"+ crappies

When I was 16, I was fishing at "Z" dam in Richmond. ( lots of flow but clear water) I was surprised to catch 15-20 crappie! ( they were hiding under boulder) I am now thinking they were white crappie, but at that time I didn't know there was difference. (I thought crappie was crappie )

Congrats and great pics! Those pics look like they would make good country music album covers. Lucky man. Rivers are hard for me from now till mid July for crappie. Might wanna stick to lakes.CF
