Black stain again and yes finally a crappie !

Yesterday evening I caught the same big smallmouth with the black stain I caught first on May 26. It was not quite as fat but is no doubt the same fish. Caught on a different bait but no more than 50 yards from where it was the first time. I did not weigh it this time. Catch and release works, this is the biggest sm I have ever caught. He taped 20-1/2 inches with his mouth closed and the tail pinched like they show on the citation application. It was the first fish I caught yesterday and the very next one was 19 inches. We caught 37, was a great evening on the water. Action picked up about 7:00 pm. My son caught a 14 inch crappie on a fluke, it hit on top like a bass. We released all the fish again. I think I’ll give this one a name and look forward to catching him again.
