Thread: Weekend report Occoquan

Got out for the first night fishing of the year. While the bait fish showed up within 15 minutes the crappie didn't follow for two hours. Bite was very slow and ended the night with 12 crappie and one small cat. Nothing was even picture worthy.

Saturday Hit bull run with the left over minnows. Stayed under the bridge to just relax and stay out of the sun. Bite was still light but managed a few nice ones. Biggest for the day was 14" and a couple of 11's. Decent green carp.

Off tomorrow on another business trip. Hope to have another report for next weekend. Work is really getting in the way of fishing. Can't wait until retirement. Only 27 years to go.
