Honeyhole has turned on

My little honeyhole has really turned on. Ever since I caught the 17"er a couple of weeks ago my little spot has been really producing some good fish and good numbers. I've managed to land a 16-1/4", and a 15-1/4" crappie with 5 more fish over 14" up to 14-3/4". Last 2 trips I caught 80 fish with about half being over 10". Fished some the last 2 day with some leftover minnows, caught a few but jigs outfished them around 8 to 1. Been catching most fish around 8' deep over 10 fow using a little stinger blue ice jig in a 1/32oz size. Most fish being caught on the drop. I know the big fish won't hang around long so I'm going as often as I can. Most have spawned out. Wind has been bad but at least I can fish from the docks without too much trouble.Hate to see it rain for the next few day. All fish released. Here are a couple of pictures since I know you guys really like my hat. Didn't have my camera for the 16-1/4 as I went there straight after work.

Nice!! I know what you mean about rain , we have had bad winds, now the rains for several days. I was putting tarp on boat today, it was Kinda depressing, long winter waiting, season starting, wondering when I can get it back out... Last report I got was rain till Thursday and I have to be in Richmond Friday.. Knocks out my whole week!

Great, I'm glad your hot spot finally turned on. I've been doing some more of the same the past two weeks. Out of town this week until next Sunday. Keep catching while they are in there close.

My honey hole was on fire for about 2 weeks and then shut down to nothing but little dinks. The big ones don't stay long, but they're fun while it lasts.

Those are some nice fish. I have kind of been like heycharlie. I spent a lot of money back in March getting ready to do a lot of fishing but between the weather, taking care of parents, and working a lot of OT hours, the boat has not been on the water yet. Hopefully everything will work out soon.
