Landed a total of 131 specks, but this 13-incher was the largest (crappie) of the day. (The largest fish was a 41" gar.) Most were caught with minnows 8' to 12' deep in water up to 20' deep.
Average size was small, but 18 were large enough to keep. When there was a break in the crappie action, greenies, YP, pike, and WP kept me busy.
The day began with a little fog, but cleared nicely. Winds were calm to moderate & boat control was never a problem. WT ranged from 65 to 72.

Thanks for the report, Corker. I'm gonna pitch-in a report, as soon as I go. I just haven't been fishing in what seems like a long time.

Sounds like a heck of a day. 131 specks, how many others? Sounds like a 150 fish day. I'm guessing 10 dozen minnows?
good day! sounds like you stayed busy.
Diascund has been doing well for you guys! Hope to join you soon. Just got SW boat ready to go, saw a crabber friend just a few minutes ago, they caught a seahorse this morning! ( I used to keep SW tank)
Sounds a lot like the report on capt. Reese's fishing show on 790 AM radio
Only it was lcr
Good report glad to hear somebody's breaking a hundred fish days!

At least you had a few decent sized crappie thrown into the mix with all those small ones.

Yes, this lake has the full range of sizes. Pete & I have landed several 15"+ during recent trips, plus a good number in the 11" to 13" range. If the gars & other predators don't eat them, the abundance of dinks and micro-dinks mean there will be many more good years to come.
