Default 83 crappie, finally a decent day.

I had been in a bit of a slump lately but snapped out of it today with 83 crappie. Most were caught casting Kalin's Money jig including my biggest which was 14.25" and 1lb 8oz.

I caught all the crappie today in water 8'-10' deep and caught them 4'-6' deep. I had one at 1lb 5oz and 1lb even with most of the rest around 10" with quite a few males in their tuxes.

It was cold morning as I fished in the wind without the sun showing itself until around mid day. Water temps were 68-70. I was playing around late in the day trying different jigs and caught nearly 20 with BGBS Kiwi. First time I had any luck with this color.

George WTG, but a decent day? By my standard that was a super day,and after that cold front and even greater day

I almost put of going until today which I am glad I did not. While I had to contend with NW winds that were 5-9 with a few gust of 17-23, today the winds have started out NE 10-21. Yuck!

If any member that contributes to the board wants to know where I was fishing just shoot me a pm.

Good day finally, glad you got on them, like I said it's just a matter of time. We all go through those slow times but we manage to get back on them. If you fished 3, 4 times a week you could stay on the fish, but when you only have the weekends it's hard some times. I have been catching them pretty steady the last 2 weeks.
