Default family get together... got some fishing done!

well today we had a birthday party for my cousin and all got together at my uncles house today. he lives on a decent sized private lake and so i figured i would bring a couple poles and see if i can catch anything... well i will let the pictures speak for themselves!

setting the hook... (had no idea she was taking pictures!)

    first crappie...

    her turn!

    my turn!!!

    CITATION 15inches...

my Niece wanted to see "NEMO" haha...

    she wanted a picture together...

and one more out of a paddle boat!

all fish caught on 1/32 and kalin's money jig... all released to get bigger!

i may need to fish this lake more often!

No doubt that Money jig works. Monks had sent me a sample pack some time ago and I tried it one day at the North Landing River and when I caught crappie there on it, I knew it would catch crappie elsewhere. Nice pics. It sure would be nice to have a large pond like that just out my back door.

Nice fishing and great pictures. Congrats on the paperwork. When not in the Suffolk lakes, I love fishing in larger sized privates lakes for crappie. I've pulled 12 citations up to 16 inches in the last month. My most recent one was on a black/green roadrunner. 15" male that was jet black. Beautiful fish. Anyways keep reeling in those trophies man.

i cast the little 1/32 jig and was slowly retrieving when all of a sudden i saw a silver FLASH and then BAM!!!! it was such a great fight on my 7ft ultralight and standing 4 feet off the water on a dock... i was scared the whole time it would get off the hook but i managed to land it! definately my biggest caught on ultralight tackle!
