    Default Quality not quanity

My buddy Earnie and I spent the last 4 days fishing Lake Marion and Multrie in South C. The bite was slow and some times non existent but we managed to catch some real nice fish. We fished 4 days and only managed to land 8 crappie. Six out of the eight were over 2 pounds. these two lakes are full of big fish the thing is to find them. Earnie landed 2 fish over 2 pounds at the same time. Now there is something not many could say they've done. Had a good time and plan on going back. All fish were caught in 6' to 13' FOW and 6', 7' down. Water temps were 52 to 54 but the winds keeped us from fishing some good spots.

    first day no wind.

Nice fish! I'm heading down that way Friday morning, but to shoot in a tournament and sadly won't be fishing. Fished there for bass years ago, but never crappie. At least the ones you caught were good ones.

Wtg Vic,are you home yet or still there, I like the lower lake the best on north side of angles landing,my best fishing ever was there and with no close second to it ,not even at Buggs, if you are still there you could stop by here and get your rod, I think that I and wife may be a tiny bit better

I agree with wanting to catch 8 biguns over 800 dinks - but they are all fun. Glad yall had a good trip. These VA fish may all seem like dinks to you now after all the big fish you have already caught this year.
