Managed to fish from first light til 12 Sunday. Had a buddy of mine with we that is more of a bluewater man, and the closest thing to a brother that I've ever had. Ran up the river to where they stopped biting the week before and started trolling. Through the first few curves, had a couple of smaller keepers some throwbacks and 19in. rock. Kept on longlining for a ways farther, getting closer to where I had been getting my better bite, but the farther I went and closer I got to that area, the less baitfish and fish seemed to be showing up on the finder. Plus, the farther we went, the more small fish we were catching. Had about and hour and a half left and headed back to the spot where we had managed a couple of nicer fish and where I caught my two biggest last week and started getting bit pretty quick. Drifted up into some shallower water, bout 12ft., had a double. Fished that for about thirty minutes before having to call it a day to head to baseball practice. Mangaged 19 keepers and almost that many throwbacks. Beautiful day on the water. Couldn't have asked for a better day. Of course, even if I hadn't caught a fish, I had a great time hanging out with my partner in crime talking and carrying on like the old days. With this warm weather, can't wait to get out there again.

Crappie Farmer called me in the midst of catching a few good uns, even landed one while I was on the phone with him. Hopefully next time, I won't have to leave bout time he's getting to go.
