in my experience, the day of the full moon is not as good as the 3 days before an after, unless ya nite fishin. and the weather usually determines which is better then. ain't sayin it won't be good, just not AS good as the other days. and weather may make it the best day of the wk., hard to say, I think I'll just fish as many of those days as I can an see...
i have been fishing for perch for a long time. from the people i know we start on jan 15 is our start date, the males will show up first but the females are not far behind. with the full moon in late febuary the last two weeks should be hot. my info is based on indian town. i have never caught the big females their in january. hope this helps
today friday was a bust, water 49 degrees, looked like choc milk, muddy water, got 1 crappie 10 feet down in 11 feet of water, 10" and that was it. I only fished 2.5 hr and that was enough for me. Oh well next full moon.
Thanks for the report.I know the wind did not lay down like it was suppose to.
caught an 18 inch crappie on the first spot we fished yesterday. did not have a camera, and I had done slipped her back in the water before we remembered we had a camera on our phones. She was a giant. She hit a World Famous FishDoc Bucktail 8ft deep, vertical jiggin the top of the brush. My clients were impressed...so was I!!! that moon was just goin down.
