OK, I'm game. I'll give them a go and see what shakes. Thanks for the input everyone! I just came home from DMV with the title and tag for a new (used)boat. Got a few minor things to do, like learning how to back a trailer, and I'm looking forward to getting at 'em. Planning on hitting the parking lot at the local church this weekend. I'm now the owner of a Gheenoe Classic with a 9.9 Johnson!!!!!!! Going to hang the kayak paddle up for a little bit and try the other side. :biggrin

Beaverdam Swamp Reservoir is located just outside Gloucester (map). It is part of a very nice county park. The launch ramp and parking are excellent. You can pay a daily launch fee of $6 or get an annual permit for $60. If you have the annual permit, you can also launch from the upper end of the lake here.Quote:
