How was the water level? Wonder what has them turned off.

It was the worst fishing I've experienced there. I was on the water at first light and left at 1400. I tried shallow, deep, creeks, flats, laydowns, etc. I didn't even have a bite for the first three hours on both jigs and minnows. Out of desperation I hit a cut on my way back to Bob's and threw a 1/32 oz. jig in junebug/chartruese. I ended up catching a couple of small bluegill and one tiny crappie. I hooked a 12" crappie in the cut and lost it at the boat. That was my entire day. Humbling to say the least.

Tap, the water was just above normal when I started. However, it started hauling out about 1030. By the time I left it had fallen about 4". I have no idea why the bite was so off. I even tried to catch white perch and striper from 10-20 FOW without a bite. Just one of those days.
Thanks for the report.

I do know what it is about that river but sometimes they just disappear. I know after a hard rain they can get lockjaw.
