I usually take a look at bassjons webpage to figure where i am fishing, I just dont like the traffic especially while trolling.. Nothing wrong with 12"s Thanks for the report.

Headed out early this afternoon wanted to fish Cohoon, judjing from the parking lot I figured a local bass club tourney was under way. Having experienced bass tournaments (rude, and churlish behavior) I opted for Burnt Mills.Tried trolling from 10' to 15' deep, no luck. Started casting and stumbled into a good number of Speks. To my surprise they were shallow. I started counting down 6 to 8, but they were hitting on the drop sometimes less than 3 feet. All told, caught about 30. Most were around 9'' to 10'' with 2 that went 12''. It was good to have weather that wasn't hot or raining.

2012 NWR Bash Yellow Perch Champion
2012 Buggs Bash Champion
Two at 12" is pretty good for BM's here lately. This front punching through with the north winds probably didn't help any.
2010 NWR Bash Crappie Division Champion
Glad to hear that.

good report from b/m. just think all those 10" fish will be keepers next year. good job!!!
It's always a bummer when you round that last curve and find dozens of carpsters lined up to ruin your primary plan for the day. We used to keep tabs on the web sites of the area carpster clubs in order to monitor their tourney schedules. Here are a few. Anyone have links to others?
- BassJons
- Rule 9 (2011 is latest schedule posted)
- The 'Ole-Timers club meets every other Wednesday. Recently, a member told me they alternate between Diascund Reservoir and LCR. If they stay on that schedule, they will be at DR on 9/19/12.
- Beaverdam Park (Gloucester) sponsors its own bass tourney.
I would add Basschasers at: basschasersvb.htm
