    Default Pembroke labor day

Got out to fish for a little while late in the evening. Fished from 4 to 6:30. Caught 6 crappie, lost 6 more but caught 2 crappie over 14 inches. 1 at 12 inches. The others were around 9 to 10 inches. I did lose another that went around 12 inches but the others were in the 9 to 10 inch range. Was good to get out for a change. Made things feel normal again for a little while instead of being swamped with problems to deal with. may try to get out again tomorrow being that we got 3 1/2 inches of rain by 10 am, I don't think we will start picking corn for a while now. I tried casting kalins money grub today but did no good. That thing must just work for Tap. I caught all my fish today on a pink and white 2" shad stinger. all caught on brush.CF

Congrats on the two river monsters. Don't give up on the Money jig just yet. It's done really well for me in tea stained water.

I thought I saw a pic were you bought the ones with the curly tail. I throw the Money jig that is shaped just like the Bobby Garland Baby Shads, that is, without a curly tail. I like the curly tail for long lining and haven't tried it casting yet at the NLR but will try it Saturday.
