    Default sunday trip lake mead.

i had to give it a try this morning. i think grorge caught all the fish the day before. just kidding. started at my go to point and the fish had moved as far as the bigger fish go's. i talked to get the net at the ramp and to my suprise we have been fishing the same point. where i have been sticking to the deeper water on the point i tryed going to shallower water after talking to val and caught two citition yellow pearch . i do not keep records but i caught a boat load just not the size as the last trips. all fish today were caught casting 1/16 oz jig and blue/clear metal flake body. for the day i caught crappie bass blue gills pike and one baby striper. most fish today were up in shallower water holding in around 10 ft of water. i think this pattern will work on all the suffolk city lake for now. what this lake needs are some brush piles on the edges of the big flats and on points. anybody want to help? tite lines JIM.B

We don't hear much about Lake Mead. Thanks for a good report.

I have been wanting to put brush piles in those lakes for years, but we talked about it on this site several years ago I think, and found it was illegal, does anyone know?

    1. Thanks for the report JimB. Good job!

    2. I will gladly supply a boat and labor for a brush-sinking detail.

    3. I was going to try Meade soon. I thought it was either real good or real bad--because no one was reporting on it.

this is the first time i have tried this lake three weeks ago. reminds me a little bit like b/m lake execpt the size when you find them seems to be bigger. this was my fourth trip there and this lake is big to learn. what i did last sunday was running the boat till i would mark a school of fish and drop a marker. this pattern worked good later in the day. seems the bigger fish are on this pattern. just not sure if this is a trophy lake or not. i sure hope so.
