Spent most of the morning at Lake Prince but could only manage 2 crappie so I made the 2.5 miles trip to Western Branch and worked real hard to pull in 13 more before the storms chased me off the lake around 3:30. I got two 12"ers 13' down on an old submerged tree on a point near a drop off but couldn't find any more there. I think the crappie scatter on cloudy days as I seem to do better on a sunny day. Kalins money jig did best with a few on pearl BGBS. I only got rained on briefly but with so many cells in the area I decided to leave the lake and sit in traffic for 30 minutes as the downtown tunnel was blocked.

Great report! Thanks, Tap.
i wish i had read your post before going to l/p this morning. only caught 1 crappie. i agree with you on the bite being better on bright sunny days. i did find a school of small y/p and caught a bunch. sounds like i should have switched lake to. you had a decent day. good job
A good report
