Got back from fishing yesterday morning and my new Reel Lite was sitting on my door step. I wasn't expecting it until middle of next week. THANKS Bob!!!

I wasn't able to make it in time to pick up minnows so plan B was to use things that wiggle (live and artificial).

On my way out the door my 8yr old says he wanted to go. Shocked again!!!! Cub scout fishing night must have paid off.

We didn't get on the water until 10:30. Reached up at my point and dropped in the light. I went middle of the road and got the 306 LED set. I was impressed with the light it gave off.

First few fish came within 15 minutes and were Bluegill hitting on the nightcrawler pieces. didn't take long for the larger bait fish and Crappie to show up. Had nice steady action and ended up with 15 crappie and 4 bluegill for the night. About 6 crappie were keeper size. The Kalins Money jig dipped in chicken liver juice was the combination. They out fished the wiggly things 4 to 1. Most were caught when the bait was directly underneath the light (cone of darkness).

My son had a great time and was having a blast catching the microscopic minnows (size of a grain of rice) with the minnow bucket dip net.

Called it a night at 1:30 and left the fish biting. Here are a few pictures. In the picture of the light in the water, note the depth reading on the Fish finder. We had so many bait fish that it was producing an artificial lake bottom at 8 ft.
