Default Anyone have wind damage last night

80 mph wind gusts at Roanoke airport. We have limbs everywhere but nothing real bad.

Take care of the old folks today. Some are without power and it is going to 100 degrees is several places.

    Here in Indiana (Fort Wayne)
tons of trees down, electricity out they say until next Wensday, as power crews are covered up with work load
    of repairs.

    Myself didn't get me

Bill, you don't need to be in an attic with 100* temp. Get one of the young crappie fishermen down your way to do it for you.Thumbs Up

Those were some of the hardest winds I've that we're not associated with tropical storm or tornado. South side of DC was spared the worst. 1.2 million without power. We got lucky, no damage, have power.

Really messed up my night fishing plans last night. I was literally driving to the bait shop when I heard the radio reports that the storm would be here around 9pm. Decided it would b best to wait a day.

Hit the lake this morning and it was solid leaves. Managed 20 (all small)

Minor tree damage & power out for 18 hours--a good test of all the emergency equipment & supplies that should be ready for hurricane season.

No damage here, thought we missed it because it didn't wake me up, but I just found my doormat from the back door on the roof next door.

    - Portsmouth/Craney Isl... Wesaturday lost power for 15 hours, tossed everything in the fridge- could have been worse though.

Then last night it went again, almost took us with it. We almost got hit buy the telephone pole as is was comeing down 200' from the house. The flash from the lighting strike caused me to hit the breaks, the pole landed 10 feet from the bumper. Power as out for a hour or so.

Looks like round 3 of this crap tonite...grr... really getting over it.

When I was leaving for my charter Sayturday morning, it looked like a war zone. I had to drag a tree out of the street, trashcans, siding, tree limbs everywhere.
