There hasn't been a ramp on Kilby for years now unless they finally put one in. If so I'd sure like to know where it is. I think you are safe Doug, I didn't see your name on the obit page.

Sure glad it wasn't me who found it. I found one dead guy floating on one of the small lakes on Cheatham Annex years ago while fishing. Cast a worm to it thinking it was a floating log. Still have the visions in my head. Turned out to be a drug deal gone bad.

The only one I know of is the one at the Portsmouth Water Quality Lab at the spillway. Behind locked gate.

Default What it seemed to be

The picture shows what I took for a pump station on Pitchkettle road. This is on Lake Meade. As for a Kilby ramp it has been closed for a good while. Access to Kilby is tricky. Rumor has it some people who live on the lake allow some folks to launch from their property. The closure of the ramp is a shame as Kilby is a picturesque lake with some good fishing

Yeah, its been closed for many years now. It was good fishing back then and I can only imagine what it would be like now. The story I heard was they were going to build a new ramp when they closed the old one but changed their minds because they were afraid terrorists would use it to contaminate the water. I really would like to think that is just a story someone came up with as it is really stupid reasoning.
