Thread: Good last trip of the year 2011

being next sat is christmas eve this will probably be my last trip of the year.banghead I used only my handtieds and the plastics ive been tinkering with the last week. Started off at the dam end of the lake, caught 5 soon as I hit the water tightlining 2 rods set 9 & 12 Ft deep in 12-15 FOW one with the orange/chart paddle tail the other a green/white handtied. Caught a 8 or 9 casting the mini twitch minnow and even 2 longlining really slow, then got in em good just off of a flat covered with SAV (coontail) caught one at 14 5/8" 4.5 ft deep in 7-8 FOW, ended up with 44 Crappie and two bass, one of which was a pretty nice fight on a 9' Wally Marshell Crappie Thunder with a Shimano 500 4# vicous line....Hah was the same handtied as I caught the nicest crappie of the day.... I had a blast, just wish my dad could have joined me Hes fighting off a resperatory thing, hoping its not pnemonia again.

Great job Bennett, nice looking pond. Good report on your newly made plastics and very nice pic's. Good way to send out the old year. I'll be doing the same thing this coming week.
