Default Solo afternoon kayak trip to the chick river 12/13

Got to the river about 2:30 after work saw to other fishermen but they left shortly after I got there.
After one fish and two thumps in 2 hours I see why they left . Decided to stick it out till tide change
and I am glad I did. The fish turned on about 30 min before dark and most of them where nice 11 to 13 in
fish. Ended up catching 15 and took 7 home the biggest was a nice 13 1/2 in slab sure glad I stuck it
out. I did try a new jig ( jimbos jigs.com) did well but the old pink / chartruse slab daddy seemed to be
the bait of the day. Going to try to get back out this week sometime, but if you are looking for the wife to
get you a chirstmas gift this year I recomend a kayak and some slab daddys . SEE YA ON THE WATER!

( CONGRATS ON YOUR FIRST DEER ALYSSA, LOVE YA UNCLE JIMMY ) :o

Hey 2010native, I saw you come out yesterday. I was getting ready to leave as you came out. I had a good day, started at 9am and fished until 2pm. I caught 40 to 50 fish didn't count exactly. A lot of nice size slabs, took a limit to a hunting buddy.
