Default Rod building class, April 2014

Who wants to get started and build your own rod ? I've been wanting to try this and now here is a chance. And the lake has great fishing too. I'm signed up already.

4-H is a great outfit and has been around for over 100 years. I was a member in the late 40's, early 50's. I imagine it has changed just a little since then.

Follow the link, it says 6' 6" med spinning rod. All I use anymore are 7 footers but I'll take a 6 6 to learn on. Figured the next one would be a better job anyway. I've got 7 grandkids that will all get a rod before I'm done. Thats one of the reasons I want to learn, I want all 7 to have a rod from their Grandpaw. By the time I've built 7 I'll build one for me.
