Thanks Fishdoc! I'll try that.
just hope you see them young'uns catch a slab!!!
Hi all,
Im new to the board. I tried the BASS thing for a few years bought an NX750 and fished some tournies. Ive since sold the NX750 and purchased an 06 PT 175 / 50hp. I live in Williamsburg and mostly fish Waller Mill, Little creek, Diascund, Chick lake. This is why I got the PT 175 alot easier in the TM only lakes.
I have not been to the Appomattox. I would like to take a trip and check it out. I have always fished for crrapie if the bass were not hungry. So I guess Im still a begginer.
Where is the best place to launch on the Appomattox?? Brad how does your boat do on the rivers? With those 2 boys is it getting a bit crowded? I have a 17 year old myself, he loves to fish. I also have twin 3 year olds that Im giving the fishin bug to. Thanks in advance for any info

I have been lurking a bit and saw that you all have a few get togethers. That sounds like alot of fun. Hope to join you one day.

You guys are right -on about the fishing buddies. My son fished with me from the time he could walk up until he went to school @ William and Mary. We went through some "muddy water" for about 2 years but now he is back living with me while he goes for his master's @ ODU.Quote:

Hey Nitro 134, welcome to the board. All of you that have kids to fish with you are really fortunate. They have a way of growing up and moving away. We have 6 boys. 3 in Fla, 2 in NC and 1 here. The one here likes to fish but never has time. He is a cop with a newborn baby. One of my boys in Fla is coming up to fish with me again this year when we go to the lake in March. I got him "hooked" good on Kerr lake last year.

I put in at whats known as the "Small Boat Harbor" off Puddledock Road. The attached link to their website has directions. I have been taking a left out of the harbor and fishing under the Temple Avenue Bridge and have been having some pretty good luck. http://www.appomattoxboatharbor.com/
As far as the PT 175 goes, it is a great river boat. It definitely can get a little cramped with 3 of us fishing. We generally take turns fishing from the middle. We fished a lot out of a 14' jon boat, so the PT 175 still feels pretty luxurius. Hope this helps.

Congradulations on your son's success and still having him in the boat with you. The time spent on the water has obivously had a positive impact.
Brad is not lucid. His sons tell him where to go and how to fish. He is merely a passenger in the boat. If his boys could drive the truck and afford the gas, Brad wouldbe forced to stay at home. I hate to be negative but im just keeping it real.
HOT GREASE
