Only problem with this one which is the biggest ever caught in my boat is my wife caught it. She though that she was hung up, LOL! It was not until I turned around that that she said maybe I am not hung up???

Wow, want a great catch. Did you weigh it? She out fished you Skip, surely you netted it for her and told her she would have lost it if it was not for you helping her. LOL

LOL, I had to turn the boat around because we were long line trolling and she said I am hung up. Well not long after I turned the boat around she says, I don't know, maybe I am not hung up. I have to give her credit though as the fish had Hydrilla on him too, LOL!

Yes I got the net for her and talked her through it. She still has the biggest caught in my boat, but she almost never catches more fish than I do. I really can't remember a time where she got more in the boat or the box.

I didn't have any good scales and I took all the measurements and over time she lost or threw them away, but I do remember that 19", LOL! It also was April 2001.

I caught several that spring that were very close to this one, but never beat it. I have caught quite a few 17" or even a bit longer so it's not like I don't get the big ones too. Don't think I have missed a year with not getting at least one 17" since 2000 or maybe a couple of years earlier.
