Thread: Lake Austin update

Although our constant level lake seems to follow its own rules it appears as the water temps starts holding over 60 degrees the spawning season is about to begin. Tuxedo clad males are being caught off the bank in our neighborhood park on small bladed jigs. Most have been caught beyond the minimal structure that exists as it appears the males are staging for spawn. If I can get past this hip replacement surgery I hope to determine more specific areas and activities. It has been a week since the operation so in just a few days my brother and I will give it a run. Stay tuned.....
